What do children learn in BPS preschool programs?

BPS toddler and preschool programs use a play-based approach and follow the HighScope Curriculum.

Children learn developmentally appropriate skills through hands-on experiences. These experiences help build confidence and support success in school.

The curriculum aligns with the State of Michigan’s early childhood standards. Children develop skills in:

  • Physical development
  • Language, literacy, and communication
  • Social skills and relationships
  • Creative arts
  • Dramatic play
  • Construction and problem-solving
