Our School

Our staff is committed to supporting both academic excellence and character development.

Most teachers and educators hold advanced college degrees.

All teachers are trained in early childhood education. They understand that children develop in similar stages, but at different rates. Instruction is adapted to meet each child’s individual needs.

Teachers plan classroom activities using a comprehensive curriculum. They also:

• Build strong relationships with children and families
• Create safe, age-appropriate learning environments

The Birmingham Public Schools Early Childhood Center is committed to providing a nurturing and secure educational environment for young children and their families.

In a safe, age-appropriate, and engaging setting, children learn, explore, and make choices as they experience the world around them.
